Illuminated built-up lettering is attractive and grabs the attention. These letters can be made of PVC sheets, opal and PMMA; they can be covered with regular or translucent films, and their illumination can be done with neon, LED lights or fluorescent tubes. They can be open, closed and backlit letters. Backlit lettering produced an effect similar to glowing. They are usually made with an opaque front and a transparent bottom or with no bottom altogether. A neon light is installed in each letter and its light is reflected in the base onto which the letters are mounted.
